Flagstaff – Beginning Thursday, February 11, early ballots will be available for the Tusayan Incorporation and City of Williams March 9 elections.  To request an early ballot, a voter must live within the Tusayan proposed incorporation boundaries or within the City of Williams, respectively.  A voter must have registered to vote by Monday, February 8.

While voters have the option of voting early, both elections are polling place elections.  For those who choose to go to the polls on Election Day, polling place locations are indicated on the informational pamphlet, which was mailed to all eligible voters on February 3.

Voters may vote an early ballot in person at the following locations:

·   City of Williams voters may vote at the Williams City Clerk’s office, 113 S. 1st Street, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

·    Tusayan voters may vote at the Grand Canyon Superintendent of Schools office, 1 Boulder Street, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

·    Williams and Tusayan voters may also vote at the main Elections office, 110 E. Cherry Avenue, in Flagstaff.

City of Williams voters may vote an early ballot in person until Friday, March 5 at 5:00 p.m.  Tusayan voters may vote an early ballot in person at the Grand Canyon Schools office until Thursday, March 4 at 5:00 p.m., since the office is closed on Friday.

There are several options for a voter to request a mailed early ballot:

·         Call the Elections office at (928) 679-7860; toll-free (800) 793-6181.

·         Mail a written request to Coconino County Elections, 110 E. Cherry, Flagstaff, AZ, 86001.

·         Fax a request to Elections at (928) 679-7851.

·         Fill out and submit an electronic request form at www.coconino.az.gov/elections.

The last day to request a mailed early ballot is Friday, February 26.
