SHOW LOW—Doctor’s Health Solution, a local health care alternative to big-box insurance, has expanded their network of discount providers to deliver better, affordable care for families and businesses alike in the entire White Mountain region.
“We have had some exciting developments in Doctor’s Health Solution (DHS) lately,” said Dr. Scott Hastings, D.O. “We recently had an audiologist join our team and got a contract for discounted digital imaging, such as CT scans and mammograms. At DHS, our guarantee is to bring quality care to the table without also swiping your wallet.”
Under DHS, individuals, families and businesses pay a flat monthly rate—plans starting as low as $69 per month—to the Doctor’s Health Solution program. Any additional care patients require is guaranteed at a deep discount from a variety of local providers, ensuring reduction in price on everything from podiatry to blood work to CT scans.
“We recently contracted with SimonMed Imaging in Payson for a discount of 80 to 90 percent off digital imaging,” Dr. Hastings said. “An MRI that would cost you upwards of $3,000 would now cost $350. That’s an extensive savings in exchange for one tank of gas.”
On average, Dr. Hastings said the patients on his Doctor’s Health Solution plan paid at least 50% less than with a regular insurance premium, and were more satisfied with the care they received.
“We took a survey of those on the Doctor’s Health Solutions plan, and 93% said they were extremely satisfied with the caliber of care provided and the value of the program,” Dr. Hastings said. “This program is working.”
